Sixteen

Lucky holding an awesome yoga pose.

Yep, sixteen. That's how old my sweet Lucky is. Husband and I took her to the vets last night to learn how to give her iv fluids. Eeeeek! It seems her little kitty kidneys need a little bit of help from us so we are gonna do what we gotta do. I was cracking up on the way out of the vets because we were originally told by the Dr. that we would probably have to give them to her once a week. So on the way there we were like well, maybe we can just do it every two weeks. So when my husband asked, the Dr. said "Since you seem to be ok with it, I think you should do it twice a week." It's really not that bad. I just need to get over the feeling that I'm hurting her. At two times a week, that should be real soon!

I snuck into Alex's room the other night to steal a kiss and this is what I found.

Do you think we can get any more patterns going on in this picture? Ugh!

He has always slept with his hands clasped behind his head, even as a newborn. Weird! He always looks like he's just chillin. The boy loves to sleep. The boys and I were discussing all of the things we are excited about for the summer...going to the pool, the beach, no school. Alex just wants to sleep in. Do you know any five year old kids that like to sleep past 9:00? I'm not complaining, it's just strange.

Oh well, I'm off to do a Lego sweep. I'm watching my 18 month old nephew tonight and I don't want to have any surprises:)

Have a great day!!

Love the little sleeper! So he must be collecting lots of patterns so he will have exciting dreams! Good luck with the kitty, the things we moms do...for kids, animals, hubbys! Good thing they are all cute!

Imagine when he's a teenager!
My boys come home from school and nap just about everyday.
Great pictures. :)

What a cutie. I love peeking in on mine as they sleep because they still look like babies....

My neighbor does the fluids for her 3 year old cat (he was a victim of the bad food from China) It will take time, but your kitty will get used to it and know it is coming. Hers has gotten a lot easier.

Sweet sleeping photo..

Aww, Lucky sure doesn't look that old. So pretty. That's the part I hate about having pets--when they get old and you feel so bad for them.

The pic of your little boy is adorable! I still go peek in at my big teenagers, (if they are asleep before me). That's funny how he still sleeps like when he was a newborn. We always laugh because my 16 year old son still can be found curled up like he did when he was a newborn sometimes, with his big legs folded underneath him and his butt sticking up. At 5'6" (he's still growing) it is the weirdest thing! Have a great day and good luck with Lucky.

I love these...the irked poser (clearly frozen, midst self-grooming as if to say "Yesssss?????") and the relaxed poser ("take my picture, draw a mustache on my face, steal my toys; just don't wake me.")

hahahaha!
