Decisions, Decisions...

Hello Friends,
We are starting bathroom renovations next Monday...I have nothing picked out yet. I'm amazed at how many decisions need to be made for a room slightly larger than my bedroom closet. This is my inspiration...

I'm going for a classic, vintage style. I love the tile in this picture but for the shower, not the walls. I want wainscoting for the walls and a solid pedestal sink. Everything white and chrome. I also love the cabinet in this picture. My big issue is the floor tile. I love the black and white checked tile floors but I cringe every time I think of dirty tile grout on the floor. All those tiny little tiles = lots and lots of grout:(

I absolutely love the sink in this picture but the cheapest one I've found is $800. A little too much for a sink (for me anyway!) The sink we're going with is a square, classic pedestal sink, solid white porcelain for a mere $130....much better:) I figure two more trips to the store and I should have my ducks in a row...I hope. I will share pictures of the after, the before's too icky! Our current bathroom is circa 1980...need I say more?

SOLD. Thanks!!

Sweet Grace 8" x 10" canvas panel

I worked on this little angel today. She can be found fluttering about here!

Have a great night!

Tracy, I am begging you to run from white grout! I had it in CA and it was the bane of my existence! Loving the angel!

hmmmmm...have to agree on the white grout. When new it looks beautiful, but the upkeep? not so nice.

The angel IS beautiful. How did you do her hair? It almost looks like saran
wrap in the pic. Looks great!

Lol, not Saran wrap...white tissue paper!

Good luck on the renovation! We have tile in the kitchen and I can't stand the dirt it collects..perhaps you can find a small rug in that style..then again that might get dirty too..lol. Sweet painting!.I hope all is going well for you :)

How funny. I have used that fancy sink before. And similiar tile in the first pic. We have a plumbing place (kinda second hand) that you can find stuff like this.

There is a square sink that may not be too expensive. I used that with octigon tiles, claw tub and I painted the outside of the tub black to match the tile. It was really cute.

Good luck with it! I may have a slide show of those sinks I used once on my myspace.com/jennifercccarter

I absolutely love that top bathroom! (yes, grout is not fun. I have a granite floor in my bathroom...large tiles, but that grout makes me pout!) And love the white hair of the angel!
