After the Holiday

Hello Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. We spent the day with good friends swimming, eating BBQ and watching fireworks. As Alex put it..."This was the best day ever."

We leave for vacation next Saturday so I have lots of things I need to get together this week. The studio has been quite lonely since the kids finished school but we have been having so much fun reading and going to the pool that I can't complain. Pretty soon I will have too much time (Alex will be in school for the whole day...sniff, sniff) and I will be wishing my little boys were bugging me for snacks and telling me they're bored. I'm trying to enjoy every single minute.

Well, I'm off to get my hearing tested. Ugh! I always have anxiety about these tests like I'm in school again. I've never passed one, ever, so I should be used to it but I guess some things never change. A hearing aid or two are in my very near future and I'm not sure how I feel about that either. It's not that I'm vain and I don't want people to see me with a hearing aid but I'm not so sure they will be comfortable to wear. I don't like a lot of stuff on me. I wear diamond stud earrings most of the time and I always misplace my wedding ring because I take it off so often. God only knows what I would do with a hearing device. I'm not even 40 yet!

Don't forget to leave a comment below to win a little gift!
Enjoy your week:)

Well it sounds like you had a fun weekend. My summer sounds like yours... not much time to be creative. Good luck on your test.

Love how big brother has his arm around little brother. I have three sons, but they're MUCH bigger now. Seems like things are going well in your house. Have fun on that much needed vacation and don't worry too much about your hearing test.
