Many Thanks!

Hello Friends,
Thank you all so very much for all of the birthday wishes.
I had an amazing day with lots of family and gifts.
I also received this fabulous cake made by
my equally fabulous sister in-law, Lisa.
Thanks Lisa!!

Don't you just love the artist's palette?

My husband and the boys bought me this, on which I've been reading this.
Frances Mayes is really an amazing writer.
Even if you have never traveled to Italy, she makes you feel like you have.
Read Under the Tuscan Sun.
It's nothing like the movie, not that I didn't like the
movie but the book is very different.

On to other news:

I've been doing a bit of this...

- reading yummy magazines like this...
If you enjoy junking, this is the mag for you .
Full of flea market tips and decorating ideas.
And eating this for lunch.
Greek yogurt is really the BEST!
I'm not a huge yogurt fan but this is really thick
and comes in yummy flavors like pomegranate.
Yum!!

Speaking of junk....
because of my thrifting, flea market, yard sale habit,
I will be once again opening up my vintage Etsy shop.
I have lots of vintage goodies all ready to list so I'll keep you posted for the
grand re-opening.
Because of Etsy rules, I wasn't able to use the same name as before so I had to come up with a new one. I tried to think of a name that would hold lots of things. Like vintage finds but also things made from vintage finds.

So here it is.....
vintage sister soup

I figured that when you add a lot of ingredients you usually get soup.

Right?

No?

Oh well, I never said I could cook.

In the art department...

A little peek at a print that I've been working on.

I just need to have it professionally scanned because it doesn't fit in mine.

Something I should have considered before hand but again, oh well.

Long post huh?

Sorry.

Have a great day:)

Well, many happy wishes to you! A Kindle huh? Pretty cool gift! I loved the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" - infact Tuscany is on my bucket list of the place to visit.

Looking forwarding to the opening of your vintage soup shop!

Hugs,

Sue

I wish I could have a bite of that cake!
Don't apologize for talking on your own blog :-) I enjoyed every word.
That print is awesome! It'll be worth having it professionally scanned, for sure.
I don't understand the bit about the etsy shop. Were you able to close your last shop? I have a defunct shop that I wish I could close.

I'm taking a class with Matthew Mead at the Mary Engelbreit event I'm going to in St Louis. SO excited!
Great post, and again; happy birthday :)

Thanks for all the recommendations! I love yogurt and pomegranate yogurt sounds yummy. The book recommendation sounds good too. I liked the movie okay but I bet the book would be better. Awesome cake your sister-in-law did for you! She must be a sweetheart and love you a lot to do it for you. Can't wait to see your new maillot print in full. Happy day to you! :)
