Rested

Our pink little beach house.

Hello Friends,
We had a wonderful vacation on the Jersey shore. Lots of fried seafood, ice cream and baked goods. We were lucky enough to be in walking distance from a fab bakery named Dot's. They had the most excellent cinnamon cake and yummy donuts. We celebrated Alex's 6th birthday while we were there and he decided to forgo the traditional cake and have birthday cookies.

I don't have the nerve to step on the scale but judging by the snugness of my jeans, I gained a few pounds. So it's back on the wagon for me! I'm ashamed to say that besides the lame side salad I had one night, I didn't eat not one vegetable...except for french fries. Do they count?

Here are a few pictures from the week.

Amazing speedboat ride. We went sooo fast!!

Little sailors.

Crazy sea creature

Skin and bones...he eats a lot, really he does!

Patiently waiting for a big wave.

The beach right outside our door....awesome.

Cousins playing in the sand.

My Sister and Nephew (who wasn't too thrilled with the ocean.)

The view from my 7:00 am walks.

Heavenly.

Looks like you had a wonderful time!! I love the beach~it is perfect for kids of all ages. Hey, and what's the point of a vacation if you don't stuff yourself with yummy regional food?

Your boys are so grown up!
When we went to Cape Cod, my daily veggie was sweet pot fries!

I like to live vicariously through you since it's been so cold here...sounds like you had an amazing time! I took a close look at that birthday cookie cake, no wonder Alex wanted that, it looks delicious!
and hey, french fries become a vegetable when you are vacationing

I think the 7am walks cancel out the fries right? And anyway, that is why they call it vacation!
