I've been doing a bit of soul searching lately.
Searching for the real artist I think I should be.
Not trying to fit a mold to be accepted.
Just be me.
A saw a glimpse of her here...
Instead of trying so hard not to be detailed, I just painted in a way that felt good.
Today I decided to try again.
I painted all day.
Into the night.
And she's completely me.
Looking forward to 2010.

OOOOH she is beautiful!! I've been doing some soul searching lately too, it must be the season for it ;)
I'm looking forward to seeing what else you make in the new year!

Wow! She is brilliant!
it's hard to let go and paint how you feel. I think it is the hardest thing to do, to be truly authentic. I know I will have to at some point, try and let go of my need to control a painting, and see what happens
HOLEY CATFISH BATMAN! She is outstanding! I know exactly what you are talking about- creating art that is you and makes you feel good! I at the same point! YOUR ROCK MY FRIEND!
I love her. You are very blessed...talented.

She's BEAUTIFUL and so different from your usual look!

I have "Vintage Sister" originals on my Christmas tree! YEAH!
I really, really, REALLY like her.
I think sometimes we do try too hard to follow a path that we feel is right, but that just isn't comfortable to us. I'm glad that you have discovered your comfort zone. I'm still looking - like you, I've tried to simplify, but
it seems to cause me more angst than it is worth.
I wish I had the time to search my soul :)...you know that I love everything you do Tracy. It's ALL you and I love it.
Love her! I have been going through the same type of thing.... I look forward to the new year and a new start.
