winter beach

Hello Friends,
Since yesterday was above freezing, we decided to take a trip to the Jersey shore.

we walked the boards...

visited our favorite places, all closed up for the winter...

ran on the sand...

more running on the sand...

stopped to notice, my boys are still small....

Alex apparently wishing for peace
and Jake doing a weird pushed up sleeve winter jacket thing...

and last...
I have no idea what this thing is. In all of the years ( almost 40) I have been visiting this beach, I've never spotted anything like this. If you have any ideas, let me know!

Tonight is girls movie night so since there are no girls in this house, I will be relocating to a friends house to watch part 2 of Return to Cranford. Part one was very good so I'm excited to see the conclusion.

Next up is a new version of Emma!
You can never have too many versions of Jane Austen films in my opinion.

Check out this link for all of the info. and you can also watch part 1 of Cranford if you missed it.

Enjoy!

ooh my hubby got me the Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters one too, are you liking it?
I'm still mid way through a garth nix book, so I have to finish that first before I start on the zombie one.

Great Jersey shore pics! I don't know what the formation is that you saw on the beach, but I definitely would have brought it home with me. Very cool looking!

I believe the thing on the beach is a skate egg case. Skates are sort of like rays. We get them here on our shore (Virginia Beach).

I agree.... you can never have too many versions of Jane Austin. However my favorite of all time is the BBC 6 hr. version of pride and prejudice with none other than Collin Ferth!!!
