Looks like Fall...

...but it doesn't feel like fall.
We have had weather in the high 90's and a few in the 100's the past few weeks and if you sit in an airconditioned house and look outside, you can fool yourself into thinking it's September. The grass is yellow and the leaves are falling from the trees. Lucky for me it's time to work on fall/Halloween pieces!

SpookyTime Jingles will be celebrating it's 2 year Birthday tomorrow. I can't believe it's been two years already! Surprise artists, fabulous door prizes, come celebrate with us!!

Here are my Halloween items for this month.

"Oh Gourdy! "

Made from paper clay over a foam form and a vintage industrial sized wood spool (of course). Painted in acrylics with shimmery black glitter accents.

Measures almost 10" tall!!

"Pepperberry Lane"
This piece is a big one! Almost 20" wide and made from a re-purposed wood tray. The houses are a mixture of old a new papers with a bunch of super cute vintage accents. Bits of ruler, metal lock plate and a rust washer as a pepperberry wreath.
I love the feeling I get from this piece. I don't want to rush the summer away but I am
getting excited about the autumnal season.
Both of these pieces will go on sale at the stroke of midnight tonight right here!
I promise to get back on the ol' blog band wagon. I've been having computer issues and just bogged down with summer activities thus far. Things will calm down soon.
(at least that's what I keep telling myself)
Enjoy your day!!!!

Hi Tracy, I just want to thank you for your wonderful art and article in Somerset Studio. I was immediately drawn to it. I LOVE how you used the text in both pieces---my favorite style of art!!
