dry yourself off and start all over again.

everything is dry!
3 days of crazy fans, 90 degree heat and zero humidity = dry walls!
yay for dry walls.
all of the flooring and carpet has been re-ordered.
 so now we wait.
the master bathroom is pretty much the only room that looks like it used to so when i get overwhelmed, i sit in there and imagine that my house is still pretty.

when i go for my walk in the morning, i pass a house that had a horrible fire in july.
i can't imagine how devastating it must be for them.
when i pass that house, i'm grateful for our minor (in the grand scheme of things) flood.

in one short month, i hope to have everything back the way it was with all of our fall decorations displayed.
cross your fingers:)

p.s. thank you all for your kind words and well wishes. they mean so much!!

I'm glad that everything is drying out and that you are on the road to
"flood-recovery". Keep up the positive attitude, it will take you far.

I love your attitude lady!!

A friend of mine lost her house to a fire a few years ago, it was devastating for the family, but now a few years later, they are happy and safe and together, I guess at the end of the day that is all that matters, life has a funny way of showing you though eh?

Love and hugs
